How to open this door?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how can I open this door?

36kjj7oad0n8.jpg

It has a databox inside (appears on a scanner). Can't cut through it, no repair wires, no code panel or anything like that. It's a small wreck in Bulb Fields (1304, -219, 575).

Any suggestions are welcome

My 8 year old son asked me for a printout of a picture of the Aurora. He told me he "upgraded" it and presented me these artworks he did at school that same day.

He really wants to share them with you. He's obsessed.

Re-join after crash

Hi,

I know most effort should be put on fixing crashes, so this feature would have no use, but until crashes are gone, could we have some reconnect-to-same-server feature (or have servers recognize that the player slot used by old-crashed-client can be released and given back to same player reconnecting just after the crash) ?

Improvements to performance and gameplay of Derelict - WIP

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1110492476
publish_id = "4230c53c"

Always felt it's a shame that this map is so underplayed.
Loki did a fantasic job with the visuals, the gameplay geometry for skulk movement and overall mood of the map.
But performance is terrible, the map is a bit too dark and some techpoint locations are just too open and lack more cover for aliens.
So I'm trying to fix things.

Changelog:
-Improved/Fixed Occlusion Geo (still messy in some places, but seems to be working)
-Added some rocks and more Occlusion Geo to Glass Hallway / Biome area to improve performance
-Removed many lights from the low light quality option
-Made the map slightly brighter, if you use low quality light option
-Removed "inefficent" props in the map (as in props, which weren't needed to maintain look and detail)
-Removed some lights and lot of tree and plant props at Turbine and Heat Transfer (and yet theses places are still lagging as hell, damn those plants)

-Added two more pillars and another Truck into Garage
-Added more sandrocks into Geothermal to cover the hive
-Added more of those tarp thingies in Western Entrance
-Covered one of the windows in Plaza with moss, added a 3rd row of pipes, and scaled up the crate in the middle of Plaza
to block view for better ambushing and to improve performance
-Modified pathing mesh, so you can cyst across the broken bridge in Plaza

Still to do:
-Further improvements to performance and gameplay
-Fixing all those tiny cracks throughout the entire map

Narrative Improvement (Spoilers ahead)

Hi everyone,
To start off I'm loving Below Zero so far, it's the start of something amazing.

What I've been seeing a lot of is reviews and comments about narrative and how the protagonist isn't isolated.

But I feel with a slight tweek to the narrative it'll work out better for the game. Spoilers after this point:

The start of the game is good up until you get into the water.
The first idea was when the antenna breaks, you lose contact with the vesper until you build a new radio, which can only be done after meeting Al-an. This would give her greater reason to not want to get a rescue shuttle and would make us feel more isolated.
Also an easier version might be that the storm continues until your PDA alerts you to the sanctuary where Al-an is.

In regards to the rescue pod that's sent down in the beginning from the Vesper, that could be changed to a small habitat that was already present in the area.

To be clear, I still love what you guys have done. I would just ask to consider the idea of slight changes as to improve the feel of the game.

Question: Prawn Suit availability

$

Is it possible to unlock the Prawn Suit before going to the Aurora? I am doing another play through before I start playing Below Zero, and I am trying to delay going to the Aurora as much as possible. I looked on the wiki for wrecks that provide fragments, and so far I have found 3 Prawn fragments and, like, 5 arm fragments. I still need 1 more fragment or 15 more arms to unlock it. I will probably need to go back to the wrecks I have searched with a Scanner Room to make sure I didn't miss any fragments. The game has such a large redundancy of fragments and data boxes that it would be a shame that you would be required to go to the Aurora in order to get the Prawn Suit.
  • Wreck in the Sea Treader's Path (I didn't find any fragments here, though the wiki said there are supposed to be there)
  • Wreck near Lifepod 17
  • Wreck on the Underwater Islands
  • Wreck on the side of the Mountain Island

There is also a clear discrepancy between scanning Prawn Suit fragments and Prawn Suit Arm fragments that makes me wonder if this was just an oversight, because you either need to scan 4 Prawn Suit fragments or 20 Prawn Suit Arm fragments.

**** Crash! ****

Looks like my may have crashed because it ran out of memory. Is there a way to assign more memory to Subnautica or am I out of luck until the next patch? Don't think my rig is the problem. It meets the recommended system specs running windows 7 64 bit with 16gb of ram with a Nividia GTX 670M.

Hey guys!

Subnautica is currently in Early Access and as such you may from time to time encounter bugs and in the worst case, crashes. If you have issues with stability of Subnautica, please post your issues with as much detail as possible (video/screenshots/descriptions), followed by the following requested information:

Example Topic Title:
[Crash] Open my Locker and Crash! [Version Number]

1) Please run dxdiag.exe (search windows for it) on your systems and hit the button 'save all information' in the bottom right. Save this file for later.

LHmLsSd.png

2) Navigate to your Subnautica Folder in Steam (should be steamapps\common\Subnautica)

3) Open the Subnautica_Data folder and grab a copy of 'output_log.txt'

PJAwuF0.png

4) Upload all the text of these to something like http://pastebin.com/ and post the public links to them with your forum posts.

These 2 files will GREATLY help us in tracking down issues with Subnautica. Thanks!

Edit by Jonas:
We've also got a very similar guide with pictures for each step on Steam.
And as in every good tech support:
  • Please make sure that your Windows is up to date.
  • Please make sure that your drivers are up to date.
  • Please make sure your PC meets the minimum system requirements.
  • Please close all other applications before starting the game.
  • Have you tried turning it off and on again? ;)
