I can't find a suitable base location! Does anyone know a location that is strategically found that just places it in a good resourceful area?

Exosuits
Hey,
fresh player here (last play was on good old NS1 :-) - some remarks / questions about the exosuits:
1) I find it a /tad/ annoying that the whole UI is shuffled in the suits.
"Health" is not a bar anymore, instead a number on top in the middle (took me a while to find).
The "Jetfuel" is horizontal and with boxes, instead of a vertical meter. (I thought this was my ammo capacity at first).
Maybe this could be a bit more uniform? I can kind of understand about the fuel meter not on the side (b/c then it would be over the temp. meter), but why boxes? It gives the impression there would be discrete states (like ammo).
Also the single number for "health" is not so for informative then the bar.

Did I not find it or is there no option to just spin the minigun?
Really disappointing because of this added delay (like 1 sec?), it is really hard (impossible) to get that blinking fade, lerk, leaping skull, etc. which are running away.
3) Railguns ???
What are they good for, how do they shoot (apparently they can be charged) , etc? They are not explained at all.

I think they should add some horror to the game and no not blood and gore scary im talking about paranoia not know whats there such as when you go deeper into the depths (very deep) you
start seeing things in the shadows catching things out of the corner of your eyes, creatures that you can only see with special equipment, eclipse were the sky goes completely black and no
light hits the planet and creatures that you would only find in the depths come to the surface. or a mob that you find in a cave that will follow you just out of your sight for long
periods of time then attack when u least expect it Screechs randomly coming from the deep etc.. i think that would really nail the whole your on an alien planet byourself you have no idea what to expect

Larger versions of established fauna
Without doing much work, you could make unsettling experiences for late game players. Making creatures players know bigger might be a fun way to make the deeper zones more surprising and cool. For example, a giant eyeye in the lost river zone could add to the ghost theme while not being insignificant and small. A massive rock grub could be deep in a cave, or a big warper could patrol the precursor base.

More Achievements
I'm the type of player who loves to go out of their way, or do some difficult task, and get a achievement for it. Its bad enough that Subnautica only has 3 achievements now, but they are also achievements that you just get while playing. There's no work involved. So UWE here's a thread of suggestions, unless this thread gets ignored. (Also this is in mind that 1.0 is out)
My suggestions:
Traveler - Go to every biome
Vegetarian - Get off the planet without eating a single fish
Reckless Driver - Kill 50 creatures with a vehicle
Need a place to rest? - Make a multipurpose room with a bed
Seeing all - Make a observatory
Overkill much? - Make every prawn upgrade
Hoarder - Have one of everyitem in inventory at one point of the game
We're gonna need a bigger sub - Kill a Reaper Leviathan
Decked out - Have a customized cyclops (colors and interior decorated)
You won't need this anymore - Take all of the secret items out of the Aurora
Going Deeper - Have the MK 3 Pressure compensator in all vehicles
Aquarium - Have one of every creature inside a aquarium
Herder - Farm fish in a aqarium
Farmer - Farm plants either underwater or in base
Put in your own, remember they area completely optional so they can pretty much be anything, besides things that you would get just playing through the story or game like Point! - You made a knife.

Blueprint progression bug
I've some stupid bug with my cyclops progression. I allready scanned every single part (Cyclops Hull Blueprint, Cyclops Engine Blueprint and Cyclops Bridge Blueprint) 3 times. The cyclops blueprint is still in my list but there is still a statusbar showing cyclops is 1/3 (33%) status.
How can I debug this?

Xbox Controller Mapping
I greatly appreciate the addition of controller support, but the mapping options in the menu don't seem to work. When I try to map the right bumper, it maps left on the D-Pad. And when I reset to default, the reload key becomes blank, and since the mapping doesn't work, I can't reset it to (X).
So now I'm reinstalling since that seems to be the only thing to do to get everything back.

How to pacify Stalkers?

Beastly pics - That thing ate my Seamoth
I was taking some scenic photos, what is not pictured is that I then took the Seamoth out to collect lithium. Missed the screens because I panicked trying to save the Seamoth. He actually attacked and chewed on it twice before it was destroyed.

This isn't really a serious suggestion, hence placing it in general.
Wouldn't it be cool if you started on the Aurora in orbit, playing through a brief tutorial, which gets interrupted by the ship taking damage. Then, you have to run through collapsing halls and burning/ venting rooms to the excape pods, at which point the game continues where it starts currently.
It would also be a cool way to incorporate some more of the awesome fast paced trailer music into the main game, even if its a bit unreasonable to expect all that animation and map work so late in development!

Map Transition Bug
Game Crashes: Moving from great reef to kelp forest. Massive lag, then game crashes.

BUG - Floating Cyclops w/o crash (with pics)
Well without a CTD. I did crash into the side of the floating island. All I was doing was turning and surfacing above the Grand Reef area when it went out of control in open water, didn't bump anything. It started to go vertical and I couldn't get out for the longest time until it rotated so I could make my way to the door. At one point, while I was still inside, I could tell that the whole sub was completely out of the water and slowly spinning in the air. It then slowly rotated and glided until it ran into the side of the floating island and stuck there until I quit.

My game is crashing on random locations in the Grand Reef
today i almost have 10 of the same crashes, and same error on everything
Subnautica.exe caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)
in module Subnautica.exe at 0033:181eb43a.

Write to location 3fc39928 caused an access violation.
I Run the game on Admin mode, and i verify the steam files
idk what more can i do :C PLS HALP !!

[Bug] Water became air to me in diver form, require no oxgen, fall like its the sky.
(Water behaves like the air when I'm outside of my Seamoth, game play is completely impossible)
Everything was fine, until I took my Seamoth to the Alien Weapon and attempted to disable it for the first time. I am not sure if this is intended gameplay, but it seems highly unlikely.
I got out of my Seamoth on a side of the cliff to scan a Cyclops Engine. The moment I got out of the craft it is as if there was no water. The strange thing is my Seamoth still floats. The gravity gun had to be used to pull the Seamoth towards me for me to even get back in, and it operates just fine like there is water.
I no longer have oxygen requirements. Unfortunately, the game is unplayable without the ocean. I cannot get anywhere or do anything until there is a solution. I could always start a new game, but I'm 15 hours into this hardcore run and very sad. I love the game, but disappointed to encounter such a game play halting bug.
I've tried relaunching the game, ect. Every time I load my game it has this behavior. Nothing visually looks any different, the water still appears to be there.
