Hey all, long time forum lurker and first time poster. As I hadn't seen a thread about this yet I thought it would be a good opportunity for a first post. i49 Will mark my 5th insomnia LAN and I was super excited about this year anyways, and with the post a few weeks back about the European Open finals being there I really cant wait ![:D :D]()
So more to the point, I plan on playing/watching plenty of NS2 this year at i49, but besides that LANs are always a great chance to meet awesome people that enjoy the same games you do. So who else is attending i49 this year? And of those of you going who would be interested in a community meet up/seeing if we can get a fun tournament going for NS2 as well?
For anyone who has no idea what the hell i49 is, link to the website here: http://insomniagamingfestival.com/
As far as I'm aware tickets are still available for those who may be interested in coming who aren't already.
Also as a bit of a side note to UWE, I'm not sure how much control you guys have over Steam sales, but I've always seen Steam deals/free weekends being played all over the halls at the i-series in the past. So running a free weekend that weekend may well be a really good time to get some interest in the game, specifically in potential players for the competitive scene, especially as you guys will be having the grand final on the main stage. I cant believe anyone could watch an NS2 final and then go back to their computers knowing they can try it for free and not doing so![:p :p]()
