Sub 2/DLC
I know the developers are already working hard on this game and it is an amazing game it really is. But I think I think I have a great idea for a Subnautica two or a DLC. You would play as Degasi members and their experience on the planet 456B all the way up to their last PDA entry and the accident.

Assault submarine
Torpedos aren't cutting the chase for good weaponry. There should be a submarine that uses power cells or iron crystals as weapons to kill irratating enemies like bone sharks and ampeels and should be able to take crab squids emp attacks and use it to power the sub. It could be very buff, but very slow.

Crabsnake Clipping
While trying to explore the jelly shroom cave degasi base, I was murded multiple times by a crab snake that grabbed me, dragged me through walls and like a thousand drooping stingers, resulting in an almost instantaneous death. Maybe crab snakes shouldn't spawn near the degasi base? They're an awful pain.

Localization issue - Incorrect word order, that cannot be fixed by translators

I just noticed that when a fish dies in your inventory, its name ("Dead Spadefish" for example) is formed with the "Dead" adjective and the name of the fish concatenated together. However, while in english the correct way to do this is to put the adjective before the noun, other languages requires the noun to be put before the adjective, and the translators have no way to control how this string is concatenated.

Frame rate issue
Lately I've been having an issue with the fps it tends to happen when a lot of things are being rendered at once two examples are then I'm heading to the degasi base in jelly shroom caveren and the mushroom forest in general. The game will seem to freeze up while its rendering everything. This tends to really get bad when I'm moving fast (seaglide and seamoth).

Vehicle moonpool docking sounds play when constructing base pieces.
In the latest stable version, since the cuddle fish update when I construct rooms or hatches etc, the sound for docking vehicles in a moonpool plays after its finished building. Not only does it play but it plays twice overlapping and crazy loud.

Tips On How To Run Subnautica Better
Hi guys! I purchased Subnautica a little over a year ago. Now, back then it had way less features and the graphics were way lower in the quality front, but even back then my computer didn't meet the minimum requirements to play the game. However, I found a way around that and ended up getting the game to run even better than I expected. Of course it was on the lowest settings and all and I had to close explorer every time I played but at least I could play this new wonderful game I had found.
I moved overseas since then and got too busy to play, but I've been meaning to come back. I recently saw the cuddlefish update and knew I had to come back. So I installed the game, closed explorer, and booted up the game. Of course it came up with the little message saying that my computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements, but I just usually ignore that. Unfortunately, this time I couldn't just ignore it. Turns out that because of all the new updates since I left the game has become completely unplayable for me.
Anyways, on to my question. Could anyone suggest how I could possibly up my GPU so that I can play the game? Y'know, besides closing explorer. Thanks a ton!

Scanner Room
Okay, I finally got my scanner room and I love it cuz it helps me find supplies. However, it's a very tiny list and I can't seem to find any other useful things.
Like, it's got, Cave Sulpher, Creature Eggs, Fragments, Laser Cutter Fragments (and I already have my Laser Cutter), Copper, Quartz, Salt, Metal Salvage, Limestone thingies (I can't remember if they're called outcrops or not), and I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something else.
But either way, the list isn't changing and I can't scroll through it either. I've also moved my scanner room a fair bit and I can't find anything new. Is this a common thing or do I have to move the scanner room a bit more?
EDIT: I have sort of fixed this problem - all I had (without intention of getting this fixed first) saved and exited the game, then I went and played another game for a bit (I don't think you need to play another game for this tho) and when I came back and loaded my save, the list was fixed!

Has Medkit Fabricator always showed percentage complete on mouse over?
Looking at the Medkit fabricator, I now see a circle with a percentage that I assume is the progress toward making the next Medkit. Has that always been there and I just missed it? Or, it something new?

Spam block andd profile wall bugs?
So...
Apperently I cannot post multiple times on my own profile wall, because this beaty pops up:
"You have posted 1 times within 30 seconds. A spam block is now in effect on your account. You must wait at least 60 seconds before attempting to post again."
- The img BBCode doesn't convert, so I assume none of the BBCode works
- Smileys don't get converted to images
- URL's don't get converted (BBCode issue?)

What is up with the Mushroom Forest?
Why do the mushrooms spawn so poorly? They are static terrain objects....what about them makes them so taxing to display, and why don't they fix this?
I have an Asus Rog laptop....i7 3.50ghz turbo 16 GB RAM and an NVIDIA 980M. I can play most things on high graphic settings, yet no matter what I do the Mushroom Forest spawns like a turd....
Also, where are all the mineral deposits there? Other than Lithium being all over the darn place the only Basalt Chunks were in the big mushroom with the cave in it....
The Wiki says there are supposed to be minerals at the base of some mushrooms or at the top of them, I have slowly and carefully scoped out many mushrooms top to bottom, and other than lithium deposits it's a pretty worthless biome as far as breakable mineral deposits go....

Horrible pop-in / LOD issues
Hey All,
Back playing Subnautica again after something like a 6-8 month hiatus and started noticing some pretty horrible pop-in issues with terrain and detail away from the shallows that I don't remember ever being so bad beforehand. I also understand the game is pretty close to full release (congrats devs!) so I was just wondering what is being done to hopefully resolve this?
I saw that there is a "fade in" option under the graphic settings that sounded like it should have at least improved it somewhat but I've found it either does nothing for my experience or may even be a bit worse from what I can tell and have disabled this option again. I've also installed the game on my HDD this time instead of my SSD and so might try and reinstall back on the SSD but I can't think that's a proper solution for the issue and I feel it may not be mitigated all that much anyway due to the severity of the pop-in, it's very obviously an issue.
I'm running an i7 2600k for anyone's information as I saw elsewhere some people were putting it down to CPU performance/ bottlenecking.

I actively attempted to fling myself as far as possible
To do this, I sat in a cyclops while in creative, and spawned various creatures and varying amounts of them to get as much distance and airtime as possible
What I ended up landing on is 40 sea dragons.
For the first 2 minutes, I just flew at incredible speeds at a perfect 45 degree angle. I'm sure I cleared the entire world map in the first 5 seconds.

By the time I reached 20 kilometers, my hands and the entire UI began shaking violently and glitching out
Around 50 kilometers, I started to return to the surface of the planet, the world beneath me visually glitched
I finally hit the water and skid across the surface for a bit, finally coming to a stop at 52,959 meters away from the lifepod.

I would have built a seamoth at this point and plummeted into the depths to see what would happen, but I doubted that I would even be able to enter it, and my thalassophobia kicked in and I had to get out of there :x

Seriously? Closing a thread because people were criticizing the dev's decisions? The job of a forum moderator is to facilitate open and civil discourse, not shut it down because they don't agree with it.

I heard someone saying that the weird portal in the eclipse map (bottom left) is from some movie. Does anyone know the name of it.

Build 52491 - VR Only - Can't enter Bases
I can't actually enter bases I build while in VR mode. When I use the hatch to enter the base I immediately fall to the ground. At that point the game acts like I'm in a base, I don't lose O2, I'm not swimming etc.. but I can't actually get into the base. If the base entrance is high off the ground, I take damage/die. If the hatch is somewhere I can get to after falling, I can use it again and "leave" the base and start swimming again.
This does not occur when not in VR mode. Possibly has something to do with the animation not playing in VR where you actually enter the hatch and go into the base?
