Bug? GL reloads without reloading

Haven't been able to reproduce and was drunk when it happened (disclaimer).

I shot my GL empty (still had ammo, just not in the gun), switched to pistol and switched back to GL really fast (animation 'stuttered' a bit between pistol / GL) and.. the GL was reloaded again.
