After watching a few skulk and fade tutorials that state that "you should always hold crouch when jumping", I think it's reasonable to make it a toggle function. Why should I always hold a key? Last game that forced me to do it was Doom 2. Then the devs learned and introduced "Always run" that is a defacto standard in shooters that do not use stealth. What does the necessity to hold a key adds to a game? Cramp to your fingers. Please consider it.
Speaking of which, I dislike how you gain speed while holding strafe to jumps. What is the reasoning behind such opaque design decisions? Why cannot my lifeform run at top speed just moving forward? What animal does this beside insects? It makes no sense, it adds nothing to the game, and it creates further barriers for new players.
